Today morning, Saturday 7/7/2021, Youth Organization for Development and Democracy launched a series of training workshops in the field of conflict-sensitive journalism. Training workshops will last for 12 days and target about 120 students from the Media Department at Taiz University. They will be followed by a 22-day training for 30 male and female students from the Department of Media -Taiz University in the fields of photography – montage – scriptwriting – and directing, as a part of the activities of the project to promote peace opportunities through media institutions, funded by the GIZ.
The workshops aim to discuss the new curriculum that was designed in journalism and conflict sensitivity. They also aim to involve the participated students in designing the curriculum and adapting the guide to integrate it and improve Media students’ curricula in Taiz University. In addition, to build the capacities of Media Department students at Taiz University.
