Funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union (EU), the Youth Organization for Development and Democracy supports (Our Media is a Peace) initiative within the activities of the project to promote peace opportunities through media institutions to implement the activity of promoting social peace to reduce local conflicts through the electrical operation of the electronic eye system in Al-Harazia District – Salla District, and to implement dialogue session on peace and community participation.
The activity will limit the security imbalances and thefts in the Al-Harazia region by operating the surveillance cameras that were installed at the beginning of the last year 2021 which is currently operated by the Initiative team with the support of the Youth Organization for Development and Democracy. People praised the great role provided by Youth Organization for Development and Democracy to support this activity, which strengthened community peace in the area, and helped small projects owners, such as shepherds to protect their livestock and homes against thefts that were constantly repeated before.
